A member of the “Law and Order” team is murdered while filming the series | He was shot in the head and neck

A member of the team from the popular series Law and Order: Organized Crime was shot to death early Tuesday morning in New York, while he was at the filming location for the show’s third season.

According to reports, the man, identified by police as Johnny Pizarro, 31, was a parking enforcement worker who was shot while sitting in his car: an unknown person approached, opened the door of the vehicle and shot him in the head and neck.

The car was parked on North Henry Street, near Norman Avenue, in the Greenpoint neighborhood, where Universal Television producers have set up a film set.

After the attack, the victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Meanwhile, the production decided to suspend all activity for the rest of the day.

“We were very saddened and shocked to hear that one of our team members was the victim of a crime this morning and died as a result,” NBC and Universal Television said in a joint statement.

“We are working with the local police as they continue to investigate.. Our hearts go out to his family and friends and we ask that you respect his privacy during this time.”

According to the New York police, Pizarro had arrived early at the place – where a filming would take place this Tuesday – as part of the parking lot surveillance and the security of the set. At the moment, it is not clear if the killer knew him nor is it clear what the motive for the attack might be.

According to the testimony of some witnesses, the murderer was wearing a black hooded shirt and black pants.

Law and order: organized crime is one of three programs Law and order currently airing on NBC, and all are frequently filmed outdoors in the New York area.
