Regarding PTI‘s protest at Islamabad‘s D Chowk, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur called an important meeting at Chief Minister House Peshawar today at 3 o’clock.
It should be noted that PTI had announced the protest in Islamabad on October 15 during the meeting of the Shanghai Conference organization while announcing the postponement of the protest in Punjab. The World Summit is being held in Islamabad on October 15 and 16 and tight security arrangements are being made in Islamabad during this time. All restaurants are being closed for five days. A three-day school holiday has been announced.
On the other hand, PTI leader Sheikh Waqas said on social media website X that ‘in the meeting, the chief minister will meet the national and provincial assembly representatives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and other party leaders from the four regions of the province’.
He further informed that the arrangements and preparations for the Islamabad protest on October 15 will be reviewed in detail, the strategy will be finalized to ensure the participation of maximum number of people in the protest.
The PTI leader said that for this purpose, responsibilities will also be assigned to party leaders and elected public representatives.
Yesterday, Tehreek-e-Insaf had expressed conditional willingness to withdraw the call for protest on October 15. Spokesman PTI Sheikh Waqas Akram had said that founder PTI should meet Imran Khan, he will withdraw the protest call.
Later, MQM-Pakistan, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and Jamaat-e-Islami requested PTI to postpone the protest during the Shanghai conference. JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman contacted MLA Asad Qaiser by telephone. After which the statement of Asad Qaiser came out that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had a telephonic contact and consulted him regarding postponing the protest in Islamabad and constitutional amendments.
He said that Maulana Sahib has appealed to postpone the October 15 protest in the context of Shanghai Conference and he has demanded to provide medical facilities to Imran Khan and give access to his personal physician.
