In implementation of the high royal instructions contained in the speech addressed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the victorious Green March, the Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch, chaired, today, Thursday, November 7, 2024, in Rabat, a meeting during which the mechanisms necessary to implement the high royal vision were discussed, Aiming to bring about a new transformation in the field of managing the affairs of the Moroccan community abroad and improving their conditions.
A statement by the Prime Minister stated that at the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister recalled the contents of the Royal Highness Speech, which outlined the features of these reform workshops, represented by restructuring the institutional framework of the “Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad,” and the creation of the “Mohammadia Foundation for Moroccans Residing Abroad,” stressing that the government I took the royal messages with great care and thought, and mobilized all capabilities to make this reform a success.
Akhannouch explained, “The government will ensure the implementation of the visionary royal vision, with the necessary seriousness and speed, by taking all measures to ensure coordination and convergence of the competencies of institutions concerned with the affairs of Moroccans around the world, and to respond to the new needs of our community in the diaspora.”
The participants in this meeting, according to the report, discussed initiatives to strengthen the cultural and spiritual connection of members of the community abroad with their homeland, and to simplify and digitize their administrative and judicial procedures, in addition to keeping pace with competencies and talents, supporting the initiatives of Moroccans from the world, and encouraging their investments within the Kingdom, in light of the incentives granted by the Charter. New investment.
This meeting was attended by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nasser Bourita, the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Al-Tawfiq, the Secretary-General of the Government, Mohamed Hajjoui, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fattah, and the Minister of National Education and Instruction.
