“Laila Mourad vs. Souad Hosni” is the title of a news item on the pages of the Lebanese Network magazine, dated July 27, 1981, that monitors the attempts of the artist Laila Mourad to stand in the way of her son Zaki Fateen Abdel Wahab’s marriage to the star Soad Hosni with all her strength.

The text of the news stated, “The old singer, Laila Murad, is trying, secretly and publicly, to thwart the marriage of her son and Ibn Fateen Abdel Wahab to Souad Hosni, and she has mediated many friends in this task, which seems arduous and difficult.”

The magazine pointed out that “the reason for the difficulty of the task lies in the fact that her son has a strong and strong relationship with the famous movie star.”

The story was told by the nomad Zaki Fateen Abdel Wahab himself before his death, when he revealed that his mother, Laila Murad, had completely rejected his marriage to Cinderella of the Screen, which lasted only 6 months and was unsuccessful.

He explained, “My mother did not welcome the idea of marrying Soad Hosni. She loved her very much as an artist. We got married for 6 months and then we became friends for years.”

The main reason for the separation is that the relationship was not equal in the first place because he was a student studying and at the beginning of his life she was a famous artist older than him.
