During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the police were called in for a person who was trying to break into a bakery in Grace-Hollogne.
When local police arrived on the scene, they found a man sitting outside the bakery. Illegally resident and born in 1984, he carried a screwdriver. The suspect explained to the officers that he was just sitting there because he was tired.
Unfortunately for him, the images recorded by the surveillance cameras seem to indicate that he tried to force the door of the bakery using a tool, probably to steal equipment or food.
The suspect was therefore deprived of liberty for the rest of the night. The man has been known to justice for more or less a year for various thefts. He was recently sentenced by the Criminal Court of Liège for these same facts.
Sunday morning, he was referred to the Liège prosecutor’s office where he was presented to the magistrate on duty. The latter put the file in the hands of an investigating judge and he demanded an arrest warrant.
