An intriguing scene this Thursday at the end of the day in Verviers. Indeed, at 5:30 p.m., a man tried to escape a police check by jumping into the bed of the Vesdre. He fled from the streets of Hodimont and du Moulin while he was trying to sell a vehicle that was not in order, as related by our colleagues from the Future.
After a short escape, the individual was intercepted and brought back to the police premises. “They ended up catching it very close to the water. Two police officers brought him up to the top of the bank, pushing him towards their colleagues who were waiting for him at the top, ”says a witness present on the spot.
The man was deprived of his liberty at the request of the prosecution.
