A tremendous accident happened in the town of Tupungato, Mendozawhen a truck driver backed up, not noticing that his daughter, a small 4 year old girl old, was walking around. The vehicle ran over her.
According to what local media reported, the tragic episode occurred on Wednesday followingnoon, at the door of a house in the Cordón del Plata district, when the driver was maneuvering his truck and when he backed up he did not see the little girl. and hit her.
The minor was taken to a local health center where she was treated by Dr. Cora Valenzuela, who performed the first treatments and following diagnosing crush trauma, she was referred to a high-complexity hospital given the seriousness of the condition she presented. Thus, the girl was admitted urgently to the Humberto Notti Hospital, where she was admitted to therapy with a reserved status.
“When reversing, there is a blind spot that cannot be seen by any of the rear-view mirrors, and due to the small size of the smaller one, it is out of the driver’s vision.”, explained an expert consulted by local media.
Two similar accidents that ended in tragedy
In the month of April, in Entre Ríos, a 4-year-old girl died crushed in the same way. Her 34-year-old father backed up the truck, a Mercedes Benz, and he didn’t see her. The girl died on the spot from her injuries. The tragic accident happened in the rural area of the department of Uruguay, 200 meters from the access to the town of San Justo.
