A tragic event occurred in the city of Bahía Blanca, An 81-year-old man died following falling from a stretcher. The victim was being taken home following being admitted to a city hospital.
The victim was identified as Jorge Eduardo Hernández, 81 years old. The man died on Saturday followingnoon when he was on his way from the Medical Association hospital to his home located on Nicolás Pires Street.
As it was learned, Hernández He had been admitted to that health center and was discharged on Saturday. It was then that the man, along with his wife, was taken in an ambulance from the “Socorro” company to his home.
EThe fatal episode occurred when the doctors tried to lower the stretcher from the vehicle. For reasons that are being investigated, The victim fell to the ground and hit his head on the sidewalk..
After this incident, Hernández was admitted to the hospital once more for emergency treatment, but unfortunately he did not survive.
Doctors later reported that The death was a consequence of the strong blow that the man suffered when he fell. They also suspect that he was not restrained on the stretcher as protocol indicates.
