“The investigation has accelerated. » One week following the disappearance of a student in BrestCamille Miansoni, the public prosecutor indicated that a Brest 36 years old had confided to relatives “to have committed a mistake, that his life was over” and that “it was an accident”. The suspect, who works in the restaurant business and has no criminal record, is hospitalized in intensive care following trying to end his life twice. His vital prognosis is engaged.
“We now have indications that suggest” that this person “was implicated in the disappearance without it being possible to say in what way, with whom and in what circumstances”, specified the prosecutor. Héléna Cluyou, a young student nurse, should have celebrated her 21st birthday on Wednesday February 1. She has not given any sign of life since Sunday at 5:20 a.m., when she left the One Club, a nightclub in the port of Brest. A CCTV image, taken at 6:42 a.m., shows her walking down a street in Brest, between the nightclub and her grandparents’ home where she lived.
“The case is far from being elucidated”
Asked regarding the possibility that the young girl was run over by a car, Camille Miansoni indicated that it was a “hypothesis but only a hypothesis”. The suspect’s vehicle was set on fire this week, but no body was found inside. “We continue to work. The case is far from being elucidated,” added the magistrate.
The judicial police are seized of the investigation.
