A young man was placed under arrest warrant on Sunday following several burglaries committed during the weekend in Court-Saint-Étienne and Louvain-la-Neuve, we learned Monday from the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office.
The individual was arrested, on the night of Friday to Saturday, following a burglary perpetrated in the restaurant “Le Belga”, located along the avenue de Wisterzée, in Court-Saint-Étienne.
His alleged accomplice fled.
The man of Moroccan nationality says he is 18 years old and resides in the Brussels region. He is suspected of having committed six other acts of theft and attempts, during the same night, at Court-Saint-Étienne and Louvain-la-Neuve.
The arrested suspect was deprived of his liberty and referred to the Walloon Brabant prosecutor’s office. An investigating judge placed him on Sunday under an arrest warrant.
