NASA announced a moderate coronal mass ejection of G2 categories on March 29. However, the US National Weather Service then warned that there was a major risk of a solar storm.

According to NASA, the first manifestations of coronal mass ejection should arrive this Thursday, March 31, 2022. According to them, it would be possible to see the aurora borealis there as far as New York. The National Weather Service is more worried and warns that it might be an even stronger storm, either category G4 or even G5.

In the latter scenario, it is indicated that multiple solar flares might merge and strike Earth in a single event. The consequences to be expected would be false alarms that might be triggered. There is also talk of breakdowns in certain low-frequency and satellite telecommunications systems. When a solar storm hits Earth directly, impacts are felt intermittently.

So if you have communication problems tomorrow, you’ll know where it’s coming from. And no! This is not the dreaded mega storm. At least not yet!
