The volunteer firefighters from Plaza Huincul first confirmed the fact that a gas pipeline had broken in the area. The Huincul Civil Defense Department was then in charge of informing the residents that due to the rupture it was from the “gas pipe of the Cordillerano trunk.”
Given this situation and while the maneuvers to control the episode are carried out, a series of precautionary measures were requested for the residents.
“All those who live near the mentioned sector are requested to cut off the gas supply to the home and ventilate all rooms,” it was requested.
The companies YPF, TGS and the PREIC together with the Secretary of Industry and Technology have already intervened in the case and are carrying out the corresponding maneuvers in coordination with the fire department of Central 17 of Plaza Huincul, it was added.
