Quebecer Nicolas Roy signed a five-year deal with the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday.
The 25-year-old forward will average $3 million a year. The Knights made the announcement via their platform Tiktokin the video that you can see below.
“I’m very excited to be in Las Vegas for another five years,” Roy said in a video posted to the Golden Knights’ TikTok account. I can’t wait to play for you. Enjoy the end of summer, see you soon.”
Roy had a real breakthrough in 2021-2022 with 15 goals and 39 points in 78 games. Previously, he had 25 points in 85 games with the Carolina Hurricanes and Knights.
Drafted in the fourth round by the Hurricanes in 2015, the former Chicoutimi Saguenéens was sent to Vegas in 2019 with a fifth-round pick for 2021 in return for Erik Haula.
