Mary Eugenia Vidaldeputy and former governor of the province of Buenos Aires, criticized this Tuesday, August 29 the economic measures of the government in the framework of a television interview and, simultaneously, disqualified Javier Miley following affirming that “chaos cannot be faced with more chaos”, in turn, he distanced himself from the notion of caste proposed by the libertarian presidential candidate and remarked that the current socio-economic context of the country “is not for the improvised”.

The referent of Together for Change defined the recent announcements by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massaas “an improvement for a generalized infection, which never had treatment”.

“It does not solve the rents, which continue to rise and there is less and less offer, nor the basket of retirees, who already face triple-digit inflation…”, expressed Vidal in dialogue with LN+during a report by Jonathan Avenue.

On the other hand, the former provincial governor smoothed out rough edges with Patricia Bullrich, whom she defined as “the candidate of experience.”

Weeks before the August 13 primary election, Vidal had publicly declared himself in favor of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta in the Juntos por el Cambio internship, which had generated discomfort in the leadership of the PRO, with criticism from Mauricio Macri and other bullrichismo leaders.

However, Vidal recognized in LN+ the leadership of the former Minister of Security and argued that her candidacy is “ideal” for the complex situation of insecurity that the country is currently facing.

Asked regarding the possible migration of votes from Together for Change towards the figure of Javier Milei, Vidal chose to underline the supposed differences between JxC and the rest of the political spaces, including Massa and Milei.

“We are the only space that, democratically, decided that the Argentines chose their candidate. Neither Milei competed once morest anyone and Sergio Massa himself said that Grabois was not a competition”, exemplified María Eugenia Vidal.

“I went looking for Carolina Píparo in 2017,” said Vidal

Next, the former governor questioned Javier Milei’s notion of caste and recalled that several leaders of La Libertad Avanza, including Carolina Píparo, have a previous history in the political system, which is why -in his opinion- they do not represent a “new” alternative for the October general elections.

Let’s define caste. I went looking for Carolina Píparo in 2017. He was part of Together for Change. So she is not a newcomer to politics. She was a JxC provincial deputy for four years before joining [José Luis] apert. I went to look for her with María Luján Rey”, stressed Vidal in LN+.

“For me caste does not make you part of the political system or not, because today Milei is part of the political system. He has been a national deputy for 2 years, he campaigned in 21 “, he explained regarding Milei.

“What defines you ‘caste’ or not is whether or not you defend the privileges of the system”proposed the leader of Together for Change.

In this sense, the former governor clarified that among her ‘anti-caste’ initiatives she will promote the repeal of privileged retirements.

“For me, collecting privileged retirement is caste. Not only am I going to be the first not to collect it, but no one else will be able to collect it, including Axel [Kicillof]because we repealed the law when I was governor,” warned María Eugenia Vidal.
