A liter of gasoline cheaper in Quebec than elsewhere in the world

The price of a liter of gasoline continues its meteoric rise, while Quebecers are not the only ones who have had to pay more in recent days. Overview of pump prices elsewhere in the world:

Londoners are not spared by this increase, they who must now pay 1.61 pounds per litre. At the exchange rate set Monday, it’s the equivalent of $2.70 CAD per litre.

On Monday, Germans should expect to pay 1.82 euros per liter ($2.53 CAD) to fill up.

Last Friday, the gallon of gasoline broke the record high of US$5 in California. On Monday, a gallon of gasoline sold for an average of US$5.343 in this American state. This is the equivalent of US$1.40 per liter (CAD$1.79). In Los Angeles, the gallon was selling for 6.95.9 on Monday, the equivalent of $2.35 CAD per litre.

On average for our neighbors to the south, the price per gallon stood at 4.065 on Monday, or approximately $1.37 CAD per litre.

In comparison, a liter of gasoline was selling for $1.95.9 on Monday morning in the metropolis. This is a jump of 20 cents in less than a week in the metropolitan area. In the Capitale-Nationale, consumers should expect to pay regarding $1.83.9 per liter on Monday.

On average, a liter of gas was selling for $1.88.2 in the province on Monday, according to AAC data.

Elsewhere in the country, a liter of gasoline sells for an average of $1.94 in British Columbia, $1.91.5 in Newfoundland and Labrador, $1.82 in Ontario, $1.56.4 in Alberta, 1 $.66.4 in Manitoba, $1.76.2 in New Brunswick, $1.75.6 in Nova Scotia, $1.74.3 in Prince Edward Island and $1.58.4 in Saskatchewan. The national average was $1.77.3 per litre, up 22 cents from last week.
