For the occasion, a giant lemon was installed in front of the company’s head office, on rue de la Gauchetière Ouest, in Montreal.
“We are taking advantage of CN’s annual general meeting which is taking place today to remind the company that we are still awaiting the appointment of French-speaking leaders,” the organization said on its Facebook page.
The Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste thus denounces the absence of French-speaking members on the board of directors of the railway company.
“Can’t wait for the application of Law 101 to federally chartered companies established in Quebec,” adds the organization in its Facebook post.
