Al-Marsad newspaper: Abdullah Al-Alawit, a legal researcher, revealed a way to reduce the high rate of divorce in Saudi society.
Al-Alwet said in an intervention on the “Yahla” program on the “Rotana Khaleejia” channel, that the idea is for both spouses to get to know each other in detail through questionnaires.
He explained that there are cases of divorce that occur due to intellectual, cultural and social differences, adding: “I focused on actions, not harmony or any other reason for divorce.”
He pointed out that he dealt with this in an article published in a newspaper listing the expected reasons for ending married life, such as spending on luxury goods, frequent travel abroad, long working hours, whether or not the husband stays at home, long working hours, bearing some of the responsibilities of married life and home meals, as well as for the wife to leave or stay with Parents for a long time and whether they do homework or not, and so on, and these are all points that were put into a questionnaire.
He added: “As soon as the husband or wife receives the divorce document, a questionnaire is sent to him to explain the expected reasons for the divorce. It is sorted electronically and transferred to the questionnaire in order for the new spouses to avoid the reasons that led to the divorce.”
