A Lebanese woman breaks 4 personal records at the World Swimming Championships

Born in 2008, Laurie Awad of the Lebanese national team and Mont LaSalle club, who resides with her family in the United States of America, continued her brilliance in foreign tournaments, following winning 3 gold and two bronze medals at the Luxembourg International Swimming Championships, following she ranked first in the swimming pool. The 200 butterfly race outperformed female swimmers from developed countries, finishing third in the 100-meter butterfly race, and in the 50-meter butterfly race.
In the fourth place in the 100-meter breaststroke, and in the 200-meter medley, which was in preparation for the World Championships, Awwad, who promises a promising future if she perseveres in her commitment to the exercises, presented a remarkable level in the World Junior Championships (Junior from 14 years to 17 years). Which was held in Peru from August 30 to September 4, and despite the strong competition from older female swimmers (the youngest Awad swimmer in the World Championships), she managed to break 4 personal records in the six races she participated in, which are the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter freestyle. The 50-meter butterfly race and the 100-meter butterfly race, in which she achieved personal records, in addition to her participation in the 200-meter and 400-meter medley races.
Laurie, daughter of Tony Awad in Montana, who previously held a position in the Lebanese Al-Hikma fans club and a position in the technical staff of the Al-Hikma basketball team in the golden age, aspires to achieve more successes in foreign tournaments and raise the flag of her country in international forums.
