We saw it at the Investor Meeting 2022 inIntelthe company made several announcements such as with the roadmap for the next generations of processors. Intel also did a public demo of a Raptor Lake processor and today we learn via Moore’s Law is Dead that this 13th generation Intel Core CPU could hit the market at the end of the third quarter of this year, i.e. end of September.

Officially, Intel hasn’t said much about Raptor Lake’s performance against Alder Lake. The company only vaguely mentioned performance up to a double-digit number. In concrete terms, this can be translated into performances ranging from +1 to +10%. But according to MLID, this number could be between 8 and 15% in mono and between 30 and 40% in multi. However, we are still several months away from the launch, do not take these figures as very reliable at the moment.
Going back to the launch window, Moore’s Law Is Dead believes it will be no later than the end of September, at the end of the third quarter of this year. The H/HX/U versions would be launched during the fourth quarter. Mobile launch date rumors are also very interesting. Indeed, the most recent laptop launches were usually associated with new graphics architectures. If we follow the same pattern, the arrival of Raptor Lake Mobile in the fourth quarter would indicate that we will also have new NVIDIA or Intel GPUs.
As a reminder, we now know that this generation of Raptor Lake processors will be able to go up to 24 cores (8 P-Cores and 16 E-Cores) with 32 threads. So here are the specifications of the next Intel Core i9-13900K. We also know that these CPUs will always use the socket Intel LGA1700. An update of the current motherboards to support the next CPUs is quite possible. But this launch will also go hand in hand with the new Intel 700 series chipset motherboards like the Z790.
