A large number of votes against the ‘Goblin’ budget, which has no screening and no stenography

Next year’s government budget was ‘late’ passed by the National Assembly this morning.

22 days past the statutory deadline.

The processing process is also controversial, but criticism of the’slow budget’ without a proper screening was raised as the last-minute negotiation process between the power of the people and the Democratic Party was not disclosed at all.

Amidst the criticism that it literally “appeared like a goblin,” a large number of votes once morest and abstention came out.

This is reporter Kim Min-chan’s report.

The plenary session of the National Assembly where the New Year’s budget bill amounting to 638 trillion won was raised.

Even though it was a budget bill agreed upon by the ruling and opposition parties, a rare scene occurred where as many as 13 people debated for and once morest.

After the budget bill is passed to the negotiation table of the ruling and opposition party leaders, there is no written record of the review.

The announcement of the budget bill is all an agreement between the floor leaders of the ruling and opposition parties.

The government’s original plan increased by 3.9 trillion won and decreased by 4.2 trillion won, but there is no explanation as to where it increased and where it was reduced.

“Any members of Congress who have seen the budget bill? I’m sure no one has seen the details.”

The same goes for various tax law amendments linked to the budget.

In particular, the ruling and opposition parties agreed to lower the corporate tax rate by 1%p for all corporations, from large corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises.

There was no proper screening, and criticism came out that it was just the result of a transaction between two giant parties.

“It appears like a goblin, threatening the constitutional spirit of democracy and blaspheming our National Assembly.”

Even within the Democratic Party, which is the party to the agreement, dissent came out.

“This agreement is nothing more than an irresponsible political collusion that further exacerbates polarization and degenerates democracy.”

In the end, the corporate tax amendment was passed with 203 votes in favor, but 37 votes once morest and 34 abstentions.

Even though it was an agreement between the ruling and opposition parties, there was a significant number of breakaway votes.

In the power of the people, Rep. Jang Je-won, the only member of Yoon Haek-gwan, voted to abstain.

Rep. Jang told MBC, “I abstained in consideration of the fact that the ruling and opposition parties had inevitably agreed,” making his opposition clear.

It seems to have indirectly revealed President Yoon’s dissatisfaction with the agreement between the ruling and opposition parties that did not further reduce corporate tax.
