The man was working on a sandbox in the Marhuanta parish.
A citizen died when a landslide fell on him in Ciudad Bolívar on the followingnoon of Thursday, January 26.
The victim was identified as Miguel Alberto Plaza Palomo, 37 years old, who worked in a sandbox.
The man was walled up and died of suffocation in the 24 de Julio sector, adjacent to the water intake, in the Marhuanta parish of the Angostura del Orinoco municipality.
Plaza’s co-workers tried to help him but the man was left without vital signs at the site.
Personnel from the Municipal Firefighters of Angostura del Orinoco and Civil Protection helped recover the body.
