A Lancia concept car in April 2023 before the new Ypsilon in 2024

Ahead of the new Ypsilon city car in 2024, Lancia will unveil a mysterious concept car next April during Milan Fashion Week.

Lancia’s future concept car shouldn’t look like the Pu+RA.

Carlos Tavares is keen on it, Lancia must not die. The Turin brand is preparing its big comeback: while it currently markets only one model, the small Ypsilon only sold in Italy where it dominates the city car market, the historic division now belonging to the Stellantis formation plans a complete product plan to become an international brand once more. Like the group’s other brands, this renaissance will largely involve electrification with the launch in 2024 of a brand new zero-emission Ypsilon.

Before that, Lancia will take advantage of the next Milan Fashion Week in April 2023 to unveil a new concept car. In its official press release, the manufacturer does not give any details regarding this future concept car. It is unclear whether this is a vehicle announcing the design of the next production Ypsilon or something else.

Two other models to follow

Remember that following the Ypsilon of 2024, Lancia must launch a new top-of-the-range family car in 2026 (probably on the same platform as the next Alfa Romeo Giulia) and the new compact Delta in 2028. By then, Lancia will have become a 100% electric brand like Peugeot, Citroën or DS on a similar deadline. In short, see you next April to learn more regarding the future of the brand before discovering its very first novelty since time immemorial.
