A lady between life and death following a collision between a TEC bus and a car on the Quai de Meuse in Liège

The collision took place more exactly at the crossroads between the quai Paul Van Hoegaerden and the boulevard Frère-Orban.

A Fiat 500 was coming from Boulevard Piercot while the Tec bus was coming from the left, Quai Paul Van Hoegaerden when the collision occurred.

“The lights were not working late Monday morning. If you follow the road signs, it is customary for the vehicle coming from Boulevard Piercot to give way to one coming from the quay. This was not done, hence the collision”explains the Liège public prosecutor’s office.

The driver of the Fiat 500, born in the 70s, had to be extricated by firefighters before being transported to hospital.

This one has its days considered to be in danger, indicates the parquet floor of Liège this Monday followingnoon.

A car expert descended on the spot to analyze the circumstances of the accident as well as the hard drive of the bus. “The expert was able to see that the bus was well in the field of vision of the driver of the Fiat, who obviously did not look well”, further specifies the prosecution. The images of the city have yet to be examined.

The bus driver, also born in the 1970s, was not injured.
