From January 30 A. Kandrotas is included in the list of persons subject to the ban on managing legal entities. As indicated in the public notice of the Register Center blacklistedfor cellophane, this ban will be valid for five years – until the end of January 2029.

The assistant to the chairman of the Kaunas District Court, Milda Kryžė, informed “Siena” that the restrictions once morest A. Kandrots were applied during the examination of the bankruptcy case of the company “Lasilita”. This story is what started Siena’s investigations into Cellophane’s business model, taking over troubled companies that go bankrupt, leaving the state and other creditors with a broken geld.

According to M. Kryžės, the bankruptcy administrator of “Lasilitas” applied for adding A. Kandrot to the “black list” last August – right following “Siena” published the investigation “Business Plan – Cellophane”.

The court granted the request to restrict A. Kandrot’s right to hold managerial positions last November, stating that Celofano’s “illegal inaction and deliberate choice of such behavior confirm the dangerous nature of his behavior and the threat to transparent business”. It was established that A. Kandrots “deliberately and maliciously” avoided handing over the documents and assets of the bankrupt company and has not fulfilled these duties to this day.

The court order to put Cellophane on the “black list” came into effect almost three weeks ago.

From the application of the bankruptcy administrator to the entry into force of the decision, A. Kandrotas managed to become the owner or manager of a bunch of newly taken over companies. In mid-January, Cellophane was arrested by police officers and taken to prison, where he is currently serving a prison sentence for financial crimes.
