A jockey suffered a serious accident this Saturday, when he was running on a track in the interior of the province.
The event occurred in the Crossroads Salavinawhere some stable races were being played.
The man was in the cat flap, mounted on his horse, when suddenly the animal began to get restless. The rider fell to the ground and the horse was roughly hit.
The jockey identified as Nicholas Montes, 24 years old from the capital city, he was transferred to the zonal hospital of Los Telares. There he was treated by Dr. Ricardo Villaverde, who diagnosed him with a fracture of the tibia and fibula in his left leg.
Since he suffered serious injuries, he was referred to the Anatuya Hospital.
