If Sony Interactive Entertainment caused a lot of noise a few hours ago with the first sales figures for God of War Ragnarök, which sold 5.1 million copies in the space of just 5 days, there is another game which also achieves a historic launch. This title is none other than Pokémon Purple / Pokémon Scarlet that has passed, hold on tight, to 10 million copies in just three days of operation, including 4 million in Japan alone. This is nothing less than the best launch of a Nintendo Switch game in the console’s existence and the biggest launch for a console exclusive on any platform. Suffice to say that God of War Ragnarök can go get dressed next door. Obviously, these spontaneous purchases were probably taken aback by the deplorable state of the two games, accusing a number of hallucinating bugs and a framerate in the cabbage. We also know that many players have complained on social networks and that many people have already taken steps with Nintendo to request a refund for the game.
Faced with such success, the question arises of the means deployed by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo in a franchise like that of Pokémon, which unfortunately does not enjoy the best technical performance. With the controversy surrounding Pokémon Violet / Pokémon Scarlet, perhaps an awareness will be raised among the two publishers.
