A “historic” defeat for Egypt against the Korean Samson

The wounded Egypt team suffered a severe 1-4 loss once morest its South Korean host, on Tuesday, at the Seoul National Stadium in a friendly match, so that the Asian team achieved the biggest victory over its African counterpart in the history of the confrontations between them.

The hosts opened the scoring through Huang, who took advantage of a cross pass and turned it header to the left of goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shennawy.

Portuguese coach Paulo Bento’s team doubled the score, following Tottenham’s English star Heung-Min Son lifted the ball from a corner towards the near post, followed by Huang’s header pass towards the second post, and Young-Gwon followed it with a low header.

The Pharaohs reduced the score before the break through Mustafa Mohamed with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area to the left of goalkeeper Kim Sung-gyu.

Before the end of the match, substitute Gyo-Sung added the third goal with a spiral shot from the outskirts of the area to the left of Al-Ahly goalkeeper.

In the first minute of stoppage time, Chang-hoon scored the fourth goal with a header from Jin-Su Kim’s cross.

It is noteworthy that the South Korean national team, nicknamed the Korean Samson, signed with Portugal, Ghana and Uruguay in Group H in the World Cup in Qatar.
