Why is the OnePlus 8T still worth it?
When it was released, the OnePlus 8T clearly convinced us in the editorial office, thanks to its quality-price ratio which improves further thanks to this offer. If this smartphone is celebrating its third birthday, it is nonetheless an old phone to leave in a corner. Its design is still very pleasant and its 6.65-inch FHD+ Amoled panel is a pleasure to use on a daily basis. Well calibrated, bright and fluid (120 Hz), its screen does not pale in comparison to more recent references on the market.
Under the hood, it is true that the Snapdragon 865 is not new… but the phone still offers good performance on a daily basis. With 12 GB of RAM, you will be able to multitask or launch 3D games, with some slowdowns with the graphics pushed to the maximum. The 8T offers the customizable OxygenOS interface which is very popular and if it was released with Android 11, it can now benefit from Android 14 via an update. Photography is not its strong point, but it still offers nice shots in good light conditions. Finally, the device can last a day, depending on your use. But the Chinese firm’s device is especially popular for its 65 W fast charging, which allows you to recover 60% in just 15 minutes. A good point, because most smartphones sold for less than 300 euros are satisfied with 33 W.
