A health festival for initial access to care – City of Orléans

First access to care, directly at the place where residents live. This was the purpose of the 1st Health Festival set up by France Loire, this Saturday, September 21, at the Résidence Dauphine, in the Saint-Marceau district. This meeting was part of a desire to bring health professionals closer to the residents of the district where the Orleans lessor owns 578 homes. This first health festival is a concrete illustration of our desire to promote health through housing, stressed Morgan Blin, general director of France Loire. It enriches all the actions we carry out daily to promote the well-being of our residents. »

Throughout the day, the residents of the Résidence Dauphine met more than thirty associations, practitioners, professionals and local partners at the three activity centres “Care and health”, “Health prevention” and “Sport and health”. On the dedicated stands, the public was able to (among other things) find out about prevention (diabetes, obesity, cancer), screening, vaccination, etc. They were also able to discover healthy lifestyle habits (nutrition, healthy living, mental health), parenting assistance, first aid and the “Health listening” service. Finally, through games and fun introductory sessions, everyone understood the importance of physical and adapted practice, which is essential for good health (gentle gym, futsal, boxing, etc.). This first edition, with free access, mainly dedicated to the 1,500 residents of the residence, was organized in partnership with the Banque des Territoires, Crédit Agricole Centre Loire, the city of Orléans, Orléans Métropole and the Loiret prefecture.

A unique and friendly meeting where families, students and seniors discussed their needs with the key to concrete solutions for taking care of their health.
