A health center, Oum Keltoum-Al Walaa, inaugurated in Casablanca

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Aït Taleb inaugurated, on Saturday January 22 in Casablanca, the urban health center, Oum Keltoum-Al Walaa, carried out at the level of the Sidi Bernoussi district.

“The result of a partnership between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and the Oum Keltoum Foundation for a budget of 6.2 million dirhams, this center was built within the framework of the Royal Guidelines relating to the reform of the health,” the ministry said in a statement. And to add that this center, located on a total area of ​​726 m2, aims to strengthen the health network in Casablanca and bring basic health services closer to the local population, estimated at more than 50,000 people. Indeed, it is specified, this new health infrastructure is equipped with various basic biomedical equipment to ensure various health services to the inhabitants of the district, in particular medical examinations and paramedical treatments, as well as the care chronic diseases, treatment of tuberculosis, maternal and child health, school health and oral services.

Built on two levels, the urban health center includes several rooms and offices. The ground floor has a reception and waiting room, two medical examination rooms, a tuberculosis control room, an oral care room and a treatment and injection room. The upper floor also includes a reception hall and waiting room, the chief medical officer’s office, two medical examination rooms as well as other ultrasound and ECG examination rooms, a room for the maternal and child health and a room for family planning.
