The relocation of the users corresponds to the Family Medicine Units (UMF) No.58, No. 59, No. 50 and No. 56. The beneficiaries are guaranteed medical service, since the notice of the relocation of their care unit is carried out during the last appointment and is indicated personally.
With the objective of strengthening and consolidating the efficiency in the service and attention in a timely manner to each one of the beneficiaries, the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Yucatán informs that derived from the recent opening of the Family Medicine Unit (UMF ) No. 61 “Los Héroes de la Salud”, the process of reordering the beneficiaries of UMF No. 58 (42 Sur), No. 59 (Park subdivision), No. 50 (Conkal ) and No. 56 (Center), in order to expand the installed capacity of the Family Medicine Units.
It should be noted that this strategy is carried out with the purpose of reinforcing and increasing the quality of care, by distributing the population according to their zip code and, in this way, the IMSS FMUs in Yucatan provide the service in accordance with their infrastructure and workforce.

Social Security guarantees medical attention at all times, the entitled persons will be informed of this modification in person, when they go to their last appointment at the Medical Unit, prior to the change.
It is important to note that in the event that the beneficiaries who have scheduled appointments in their previous units (UMF No. 58, No. 59, No. 50 and No. 56), they will be respected at the FMU where they were scheduled. ; however, subsequent appointments will need to be requested at your new unit.
“Patients who have a scheduled appointment receive the respective attention and medication. When dealing with spontaneous patients, they are offered the available care options. In both cases, the invitation is reinforced and issued to attend their new assigned FMU, with the purpose of improving the accessibility of health services”, explained Dr. Julio Hernández Carrillo, assistant coordinator of First Level of Medical Care.
The change process will be carried out automatically by the IMSS, including the family nucleus (beneficiaries), respecting the consultation shift chosen in the previous affiliation Unit. The insured will only have to select his new office in the Family Medicine Unit.
In case of doubts and/or require more information; Beneficiaries can go to the Beneficiary Care and Guidance staff, Medical Assistants or the Heads of the Family Medicine Service.
