A group of unknown individuals clashed with the City and Federal police at the Casa Rosada gate following setting off fireworks and throwing eggs and stones in front of the government palace.
According to the police report, regarding 70 people were the ones who starred in the violent demonstration that began with the lighting of fireworks a few meters from the entrance gate on Balcarce street. Then, according to the report of the uniformed men, the people threw eggs towards the Government House.
At that moment, PFA firefighters, from inside the fence, threw water at them in order to disperse them, which provoked the reaction of some unknown individuals who threw stones as they fled the scene.
The situation was brought under control and a cordon of PFA troops was deployed. In front of the Government House, some 40 people were standing in a “peaceful attitude”, according to the police report.
From the administration of Alberto Fernández they indicated that the use of water by the uniformed men was a consequence of those who were outside throwing incendiary elements towards the Casa Rosada.
So far, none of the people have been arrested.
