Pakistani children created a video game to raise awareness and create awareness among the public, especially children, against the corona virus, through which players can learn how to prevent the epidemic of covid-19 through playing.
Two brothers from Karachi, 13-year-old Nabhan and 14-year-old Kanaan, have created a game called Stop the Spread, which is based on design thinking and gamification principles. Through this, the players learn more and more information against Corona and they get the courage to fight against this epidemic.
This game instills in them the determination to share the information they get with their friends and stop the spread of the corona virus.
The kids who made the game started working on the game in February this year and completed it in about a month and released it on April 4, 2020.
Interestingly, the two children did not attend any school, but were self-taught from basic education to designing, coding and animation.
This game has 6 levels. In the early levels, one has to detect facts and truth and falsehood while simultaneously learning precautions. By answering the questions you can earn points and go further.
To gain access to the fifth level the player has to prove that he has learned enough knowledge that he can practice in public places. When the player successfully executes the SOPs, he gets access to the sixth level of the game.
Both brothers say that they have made this game keeping children and adults in mind so that the information contained in it can be benefited in practical life. This game is free and anyone can download it while the game is available on both iOS and Android.
It should be noted that the World Health Organization has suggested preventing the spread of Corona through games and this is the first game made on Corona which is the effort of Pakistani boys.
