The Attorney General’s Office is the law enforcement agency most trusted by the public based on the latest findings from a survey from Indonesian Political Indicators.
Lead Researcher on Indonesian Political Indicators Rizka Halida said the level of public trust in the Attorney General’s Office was at 69 percent. This figure places the prosecutor’s office again as the law enforcement agency most trusted by the public.
“In order of trust in state institutions, the Attorney General’s Office is in third place, behind the TNI and the president,” said Rizka in the National Survey Findings Release: Public Evaluation of the 10 Years of President Joko Widodo’s Administration which was monitored online from Jakarta, today.

When compared with other law enforcement agencies, the Attorney General’s Office is the one most trusted by the public. In the Indicator findings, the level of trust in the Bhayangkara Corps (Polri) is 67 percent.
This was followed by the courts with 66 percent, the Constitutional Court with 64 percent, and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) with 61 percent.
“This is a note. Usually the Corruption Eradication Committee is always at the top, but this time it is at the bottom (among law enforcement agencies),” he explained.

While attending the 64th Commemoration of Adhyaksa Bhakti Day 2024 at the Indonesian Attorney General’s Education and Training Agency on Monday (22/7), Attorney General ST Burhanuddin said that in the last five years the performance of the Adhyaksa Corps has shown a very positive trend.
The prosecutor’s office is the law enforcement agency most trusted by the public. “In the past five years, the prosecutor’s office has also been able to make history by becoming the law enforcement agency most trusted by the public,” added Burhanuddin.
The prosecutor’s office, according to him, is able to be present to answer the hopes of society and the nation in realizing justice, benefits and legal certainty. The prosecutor’s office is also able to carry out law enforcement and eradicate crime indiscriminately, but while still maintaining a humanistic side.

“This success is the result of our hard work and smart work together, in every implementation of our duties and authority. There has never been an achievement or success achieved without struggle and challenges,” he said.
The Indonesian Political Indicators survey period will be carried out from 22 to 29 September 2024. The number of respondents was 1,200 Indonesian citizens who were obtained through a multistage random sampling technique.
Additional samples were taken from the 11 largest provinces, namely North Sumatra, Riau, South Sumatra, Lampung, Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java and South Sulawesi. Each region had 300 respondents, while West Sumatra had 200 respondents.
The margin of error is approximately 2.3 percent at a level of confidence of 95 percent. (Ant/P-2)
