The event took place in Oleśnica (Lower Silesian Voivodeship). The first tournaments of the APO CUP 2024 series were held in the local ATOL hall. The competition took place over two days – on Saturday, players born in 2016 and younger played, and on Sunday, those born in 2015 played. An absolutely shocking incident occurred on the first day of the tournament. The website reports everything MojaOlesnica.pl: “During one of Saturday’s matches, there was a tense situation on the pitch. A well-built man ran onto the pitch and started pulling the child. He was pulled away by other parents and it is clear that there was also a scuffle between them,” we read in the above source.
A recording of the entire incident is circulating on the Internet. The scale of confusion and aggression is unbelievable. The police arrived at the scene. – One of the fans pulled a seven-year-old boy. No medical attention was needed. The child’s mother was on site and was informed about the legal options in this case, but no notification has been filed so far. Nevertheless, a note was prepared and sent to the district officer – says senior sergeant. Bernadeta Pytel, press officer of the KPP in Oleśnica, quoted by MojaOlesnica.pl.
What was the reason for the man’s aggressive behavior? As the policewoman notes, the attacker admitted that the boy kicked his son during the match. This triggered a fit of aggression in him. Ultimately, the man left the hall accompanied by the services.
The matter was commented on by the president of the Oleśnica Football Academy, Mariusz Kartocha. – As the organizers of the tournament, we strongly condemn this man’s behavior. It was the parent of a player from the visiting team. We are in constant contact with both the psychologist and the parents of our players. At the moment, there has been no escalation of this problem – he said in an interview with the portal o2.pl.
– The boy who was attacked is a student of our club. At the moment, we have no signals from his parents that anything bad is happening to him. The official statement we received from the visiting club shows that the man responsible for this act has been excluded from the club’s life. We were also given an apology – added Mariusz Kartocha.
