A fourth dose for François Legault who encourages Quebecers to imitate him

MONTREAL — Quebec Premier François Legault received a fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine Friday in Montreal.

He took advantage of the situation to thank health personnel and encourage Quebecers to follow his example.

“Thank you to all the staff, the nurses, since the start of the pandemic, who are doing an extraordinary job. I also want to say thank you to all Quebeckers who have been vaccinated, I am thinking of the youngest among others, I know that the youngest are less at risk than vulnerable people, but it is still important to show solidarity and to be vaccinated to reduce the contagion and, when you meet people who are vulnerable, you protect these people, ”said the Prime Minister.

Asked regarding the low vaccination rate in children, François Legault replied:

“We will talk regarding it in the next few days”.

Thursday, the national director of Public Health, Dr. Luc Boileau announced that Quebec will intensify its vaccination efforts once morest COVID-19 in the coming weeks.

A booster dose campaign will be launched among CHSLDs and private seniors’ residences as of August 15.

Luc Boileau warned that an increase in cases is “very likely” this fall with the return to school.
