Qinghai: The sand storm that lasted for four hours caused fear in China. The sandstorm, which looked like a brown avalanche, also created waves on social media. Weather forecasting company Accuweather said the storm hit a desert area in northwest China’s Qinghai Province.

The storm hit on Wednesday. Haixi Mongolia and parts of Tibet saw the most alarming sandblasts. Due to this, the traffic was completely blocked. In Khingai, it was impossible to see even up to 200 meters away. The sunlight also disappeared.

Terrified locals and tourists stayed indoors. The heat wave was severe in China. Also, the hot summer in China these months has contributed to increasing the intensity of the sand storms, reported Accuweather.
