The previous prosecutor of the Court of Repression of Illicit Enrichment (CREI) criticized the widespread arrests under the regime of Macky Sall.
In a post published on his Facebook page, Alioune Ndao, who has also declared his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election, expressed his “full support for former Prime Minister Aguibou Soumaré”, placed under judicial supervision for “disseminating fake news”.

“I show him my full support in this unfair ordeal that Macky Sall’s regime is putting him through. This umpteenth arrest of a political opponent, as well as the arbitrary arrests of journalists Pape Alé NIANG and Pape NDIAYE of the Walf group, sufficiently demonstrate that Macky Sall is transforming Senegalese democracy into a real regime of terror.he wrote on the social network.
According to Alioune Ndao, Secretary General of the Party for Justice, Democracy and Development PJ2D Ande Doxal Deug, “These arrests are only intended to silence the very justified criticism of his regime. But he must know that he will never be able to prevent Senegalese citizens from expressing their opinions in the face of the excesses of his anti-democratic power”.
