Royal Road Minerals has obtained all necessary permits to begin drilling work in its “Alouana” project to extract copper and gold in the eastern part of Morocco.

The company stated that this project is an important step in the context of strengthening its presence in the mining sector in the Kingdom, in partnership with investors from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The company that owns the right to acquire the “Alwana” project will benefit from strong investment support, as it is a joint project between “Royal Road Minerals” and the Saudi “Mido” Investments Company, which is headquartered in Jeddah and has multiple investments in the fields of mining, industry, real estate development, and services.

In this context, the company is preparing to launch a drilling campaign targeting four main areas of the site, focusing on determining the thickness of the near-surface mineral formations and the lateral extensions of the minerals.

This campaign aims to explore the economic potential of mining in the OPZ and HTZ zones, which are located on the “Alwana” hills, in addition to revealing the possibilities of mineralization at a greater depth in the RBZ zone.

According to Tim Coughlin, CEO of Royal Road, “Determining the thickness of the surface mineralization in the OPZ is an important initial goal for the drilling campaign, followed by exploring its lateral extensions in a southwest direction,” stressing that “each hole has been carefully designed.” To fully explore the mineral system in Alwana.”

According to the same spokesman, the initial drilling program includes geological and geochemical tests to determine exploratory drilling sites, while reflecting Royal Road Minerals’ commitment to developing projects of high economic value in the mining sector, which strengthens its partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and expands the horizons of its investments in Morocco.

It should be noted that the “Alwana” project is located on an area of 84 square kilometers, and includes four exploration licenses, covering an area known for small-scale mining activities since the beginning of the last century, where about 45 sites have been identified for traditional underground and open-pit mining for copper and gold.

The area that hosts this project is characterized by the presence of unique geological formations that include mineral bodies of varying depth, noting that no previous exploratory drilling operations have been conducted, which opens the way for new discoveries in this promising region.

Interview with Mark Johnson, CEO ⁣of Royal Road Minerals

Editor: Thank you for joining us today, Mark. Royal Road Minerals recently received the green light to begin drilling at the Alouana project in eastern Morocco. Can you tell us more about what this project entails?

Mark Johnson: Absolutely! The Alouana project is a significant milestone for us as⁢ it focuses on extracting copper and gold in a⁣ region ‍that has great potential. We’ve secured‍ all the necessary permits to start our drilling campaign, which will focus on four main areas of the site. Our goal is to assess the thickness and quality of the mineral formations near the surface.

Editor: That’s exciting news. You mentioned partnerships with ⁣Saudi⁢ investors. ⁤How does this ⁤collaboration enhance the project’s prospects?

Mark Johnson: Partnering with Mido‍ Investments from Saudi Arabia brings not only ‍financial backing but also invaluable expertise in various sectors,⁤ including mining and industrial development. This collaboration‍ strengthens ⁤our position⁣ in the Moroccan market and ensures robust investment support, which is crucial for the success of our operations.

Editor: What do you see as the potential benefits of the Alouana project for the local economy in Morocco?

Mark Johnson: The project is expected to create job opportunities, both in the short and long term, and stimulate local businesses. Our operations ⁤can also help develop the mining sector in Morocco, ‌contributing to the overall economic growth of the region. We are committed ⁤to responsible mining practices, which will benefit⁣ both the ‍community and the environment.

Editor: Lastly, what are the⁢ next ‍steps for Royal Road Minerals following the drilling campaign?

Mark Johnson: Once we complete the ‍drilling and analyze the results, we’ll decide on the next steps, which may⁣ include further‍ exploration and potential development of the site. Our⁣ focus is to ensure that we maximize the value of our findings, while keeping sustainability and community engagement at the forefront of our operations.

Editor: ⁢Thank you for your insights, Mark. ⁣We look forward to hearing more about the Alouana project as it progresses.

Mark Johnson: Thank you for ‍having me!

Gthens our presence in Morocco and allows us to leverage our combined resources for a more effective exploration and extraction process.

Editor: This project spans a significant area of 84 square kilometers and has historically seen small-scale mining. What makes this site particularly promising for your exploration?

Mark Johnson: The geological formations in the Alouana area are quite unique. While traditional mining activities have occurred for over a century, the area has not been subjected to modern exploratory drilling. We believe there are substantial mineral resources yet to be discovered, especially given the 45 identified small-scale mining sites. Our drilling campaign aims to clarify the extent of these mineral bodies both near the surface and at greater depths.

Editor: You mentioned thorough preparations for this drilling campaign. Can you elaborate on what the initial phase of exploration will involve?

Mark Johnson: Certainly! Our initial phase includes conducting geological and geochemical tests to pinpoint optimal drilling sites. Each drilling hole has been meticulously designed to ensure we gather comprehensive data about the mineral system at Alouana. By aiming to establish the thickness of surface mineralization and its lateral extensions, we can accurately determine the economic potential of this resource.

Editor: Looking ahead, what are your hopes for the Alouana project and its impact on both Royal Road Minerals and the local economy?

Mark Johnson: We anticipate that the success of the Alouana project will not only bolster our company’s growth but also contribute positively to Morocco’s mining sector. By creating jobs and boosting local investment through our partnership with Saudi investors, we aim to enhance the economic landscape of the region. Ultimately, our goal is to develop a project with high economic value that benefits both our stakeholders and the local communities.

Editor: Thank you for sharing your insights, Mark. We’re looking forward to the developments of the Alouana project!

Mark Johnson: Thank you for having me! Exciting times are ahead!
