Country- The Brazilian judiciary and the Football Association opened a case on suspicion of corruption and tampering with the results during a match in the local “Espirito Santo” Cup.

According to what was reported by the newspaper,dem(Marca) of Spain, 9 players from the “CTE Colatina” team were referred for investigation because they were suspected of facilitating the task of scoring goals for the opposing team.
The “CTE Colatina” team, from the state of Espirito Santo, lost to its rival, “Rio Branco” by four goals, but the way the goals were scored sparked widespread controversy.
And the Spanish newspaper noted that the “CTE Colatina” players indulged in some moments with their opponent in order to benefit from illegal “betting”.

The last two goals are the most suspicious
And “Marca” confirms that the last two goals of the quartet are the most suspicious in the match that was held for the sixth round of the tournament.
“CTE Colatina’s defense starred in a play unimaginable in a professional football match,” the newspaper added.
And she added, “The way the goals were scored was as if the team was determined to score in their own net, and this confirms that the players might have benefited from the bets.”
Meanwhile, “CTE Colatina” goalkeeper Weverton Petroglio published a post on his official account on “Instagram”, in which he wrote, “If the bets continue, there will be no football as it was before.”
He continued, “If they plan to steal, they become bandits and thieves and prevent football from being played with integrity.”
