A Fléron resident from Romsée allegedly filmed his partner’s 13-year-old daughter while she was showering without her knowledge

In June 2019, in Fléron, the defendant secretly placed a mobile phone in the bathroom of his partner’s house to film her 13-year-old daughter while she was taking a shower. The victim’s mother discovered the recording on her partner’s phone and was bewildered by the defendant’s explanation that he wanted to check the color of the girl’s pubic hair.

During the trial, the defendant admitted to committing the act as a way to cause a rift in his relationship with the victim’s mother. Despite the court finding the defendant guilty, he was given probationary measures and a suspended judgment for three years.

The facts took place in Fléron on June 22, 2019. The defendant had hidden a mobile phone in the bathroom of his companion’s accommodation in order to film her 13-year-old daughter when she was taking a shower.

Check pubic hair

By checking her companion’s mobile phone, the victim’s mother had noticed the recording of the young girl naked in the shower. Confused, the defendant claimed to have wanted to take this video to check the color of the girl’s pubic hair.

The man confessed in court, saying he had committed these acts because he was experiencing discomfort in his relationship with the victim’s mother and that he wanted to cause a break.

The court declared the facts established but granted the defendant the benefit of probationary measures accompanied by a suspension of the judgment for a period of 3 years.

In conclusion, the case of the man who filmed a young girl taking a shower is a disturbing reminder of the dangers posed by individuals with malicious intent. The defendant’s excuse of wanting to check the color of the girl’s pubic hair is obviously nonsensical and shows his disregard for the victim’s privacy and safety. While the court granted him probationary measures, it is crucial that we continue to educate ourselves and our communities regarding the importance of consent and respect for others. Let us work together to create a safer and more just society for everyone.
