a first woman (Sarah Nurse) on the cover of the game?

With the start of the 2022-23 season getting closer and closer, it’s also a sign that we’re also getting closer to the release of the new edition of the video game. EA Sports NHL. The game, which comes out somewhere in the fall of each year, is usually available for the start of the season.

That said, until now, we know very little regarding the 2023 edition of the game. However, a leak on social networks might have given us a first element to put in our mouths.

Recently the account Lumia updates posted on Twitter what appears to be a preview of the game’s cover art (they leaked some details regarding the tech test, but the cover art for this one is usually the same as the real game). On the cover, we find Trevor Zegras as well as Sarah Nurse.

Our colleagues at Go Habs Go! made the find.

Of course, it’s impossible to know if this is really the cover of the game, but last year, this same account had also published in advance the cover on which we find Auston Matthews. So he’s had success in the past.

That said, if the leak is real, it would be the first time in the history of the series that a woman appears on the cover of the game. And really, that’s great news.

In recent editions, EA Sports attempted to make some space for women within the game, notably allowing for the creation of female characters as well as including women’s national teams.

Will PHF teams eventually be part of the game? I hope. It’s a good way to give visibility to women’s hockey, following all.

Sarah Nurse, who is also the cousin of defenseman Darnell Nurse, is one of the best players in the world. She is a good face to showcase women’s hockey.

So we’ll see if the leak turns out to be true and if Nurse is indeed on the cover, but I tend to believe that it will be. And frankly, I really like this cover.

A lot of

– Speaking of female hockey. Besides, I wouldn’t be surprised if EA Sports modified its cover a bit to remove the Hockey Canada logo.

– A file settled with the Flyers.

– Good question.

– Acquisition for CF Montreal.

– Let’s hope he gets better.
