A first loss for Tishreen does not affect his lead

Jableh inflicts the first loss in the Syrian Football Premier League with its rivals Tishreen, and Al-Wathba stumbles once more in its chances with a draw.

Al-Baath Stadium in the coastal city of Jableh hosted the match between leader Tishreen and its host Jableh, with a large official and public presence.

“Nawaris” Jableh started the match with high confidence, and they were able to advance with an early goal scored by Haider Mohammed in the second minute, to be the best scenario for the team of Jableh coach Ali Barakat.

Tishreen suffered from important absences in its ranks, such as Omar Rihawi and Naim Ghazal, but despite that, Zakaria Al-Omari scored the equalizer for Tishreen in the 42nd minute.

In the second half, “Sailors” coach, Tariq Jaban, tried to enhance the offensive role, by involving Nasuh Nakadli, but Tishreen’s relative control did not succeed in scoring goals, following Basil Mustafa missed two great opportunities. Jableh’s goalkeeper, Issa Al-Ashqar, excelled in stopping other opportunities.

And at the 65th minute, Hamza Al-Kurdi scored the first goal for Jableh, to be the team’s first victory since 2015 at home, and the first defeat for the leaders this season.

Tishreen’s balance froze at 53 points and remained in the lead, compared to 33 points for Jiblah in fifth place.

In Damascus, Al-Wehda defeated Al-Jaish with a goal scored by Abdel Rahman Barakat in the 89th minute, in a match that saw 4 red cards equally between the two teams.

Al-Wehda ranked fourth with 35 points, while Al-Jaish remained third with 41 points.

Bad luck accompanies the leap and a disappointing draw for his fans

The Police tied once morest its host Al Wathba, and advanced with an early goal scored by Youssef Arafa in the fourth minute. Anas Bouta disappointed his colleagues, following he missed a penalty kick in favor of Al Wathba. In the second half, the equalizer came through Wael Al-Rifai in the 61st minute, but he missed the goal of the lead following being alone with the police guard, to keep Al Wathba in second place with 46 points, and Al Police in 12th place with 21 points.

Also in the twenty-second round matches, Hattin managed to defeat its home crowd, Al-Ahly Aleppo, with two goals scored by Hussein Jweed and Mustafa Junaid, to become the tenth with 27 points, compared to 29 points for Al-Ahly ninth.

Hargla won once morest Al-Nawa’ir by three goals to two. With this loss, Al-Nawa’ir Al-Hamawi became the second club to bid farewell to the Premier League following Afrin, and the competition for the safe positions would become between Hargla, Hittin, Al-Shorta, Ahli Aleppo and Al-Karama.

Also, Al-Fatwa defeated Afrin 3-1, while Al-Karama drew 0-0 once morest Al-Talia at Hama Municipal Stadium.

Round 23 will be held next Tuesday. In its most prominent confrontations, Tishreen will host Al-Hargla, while Al-Wathba will meet Hattin in Lattakia.

Al-Majd and Al-Jazira teams returned to the Premier League for the next season 2022-2023.
