Underwear company Victoria’s Secret will feature its first model with Down syndrome in its new campaign.

Sofìa Jirau, a 24-year-old model of Puerto Rican descent, will feature in the American company’s new campaign alongside professional and non-professional models.
Victoria’s Secret hopes the campaign will reinforce its commitment to welcoming and celebrating all women, according to a press release.
Sofìa Jirau has been modeling her profession since 2019. On her social networks, she encourages her subscribers to follow their dreams.
“One day I dreamed of it. I worked and then this dream came true. I can finally share my big secret. I am the first model with Down syndrome for Victoria’s Secret!”, one can read in a publication in his native language.
