A first case of avian flu detected in Sarthe

A first case of avian flu in Sarthe. The prefecture indicates this Sunday April 10 that it has been detected “in a barnyard”, without specifying which municipality or which farm it is. Measures have therefore been taken: “All the poultry were euthanized and a temporary control zone of 5 kilometers around the outbreak was immediately established” indicates state services. If our region is affected by avian influenza, Sarthe has been spared so far. Remember that since February 28, 2022, more than a thousand outbreaks have been confirmed in Pays-de-la-Loire and in the Deux-Sèvres department.
