a filtering system even had to be set up at the entrance to the store

Since this Saturday, and as was the case in Mons a few weeks ago, the ALDI brand has opened a temporary outlet store in Deurne, along the Merksemsesteenweg. In this warehouse, non-food items are sold at reduced prices.

Every day, Aldi will offer a new selection of products at slashed prices: “Due to the ban on the sale of non-food items during the pandemic, we have no longer been able to sell our weekly offers on Wednesday and Saturday. As a result, ALDI currently has an overstock of certain products,” the store told Het Laatste Nieuws.

And the least we can say is that the customers responded present. Some were already in line before it even opened. “And at some point, we decided to install a filtering system at the entrance so that our staff might continue to serve customers properly,” explained a spokeswoman at Laatste Nieuws.

Travel items, such as suitcases or camping equipment, are the ones that go the most.

The store is open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., until stocks are empty.
