The Sudanese Al-Hilal issued a statement regarding the events that took place in the team’s match once morest Al-Ahly of Egypt at the end of the group stage of the African Champions League competitions.
And the statement stated that: “The entire world has followed the unfortunate events that took place in Cairo International Stadium on the night of Al-Hilal’s meeting with the Al-Ahly Club in Cairo, which were events that were premeditated by the fans of the Egyptian Al-Ahly club with an unprecedented departure from the sportsmanship, and a decline in degradation and the exaltation of hateful racist discourse and the practice of Hate speech and delusional arrogance with the aim of turning the stadium into a battlefield.
And he added, “The Egyptian Al-Ahly fans, on the eve of that sad day, descended to the bottom of racism, which they fought and are still fighting once morest by sports regulations and laws at the local, regional, continental and international levels.”
And he continued: “The abusive chants and hateful hate speech once morest Al Hilal players, their management, and the masses of the Sudanese people, the makers of civilizations and the builders of lofty noble values, as well as the chants of the bottom of the city, which the normal human tongue is unable to mention in general and in this holy month in particular.”
And he continued, “The features of this moral scandal, hateful racist behavior, and the promotion of hate speech became clear in the days leading up to the match. The Egyptian media and social media sowed the seeds of this sedition and promoted it with the same slogans that Al-Ahly fans chanted in the stadium.”
And he added, “It is clear that there were ‘rehearsals’ for these abuses and an elaborate plan to paralyze the movement of Al-Hilal players and the administrative staff inside and outside the stadium, through vicious assaults on Al-Hilal players verbally and physically, obstructing the progress of the administrative mission and the public, and throwing empty water bottles in light of the lack of protection of the security elements of the mission.” Some of its members kept repeating the same insulting slogans.
He explained, “The Al-Ahly club’s media has been playing the hateful and destructive racism chord for a long time, and it was clear that this misleading racist media seeks to spoil the sport with racism and hateful hatred.”
And he added: “The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club has sensed this vile conspiracy that was prepared for it away from the rules of fair play, which blew up the historical relations that extended between Al-Hilal and Al-Ahly, which were built and keen on by administrators who know the value between the two clubs and, before that, between the two peoples in terms of sympathy and interdependence woven by history and fed by it. The great Nile River descends from the south of the valley, the cradle of civilizations and lofty values, to the geographical north.
And between: “The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club, from an early period, addressed CAF, warning of the consequences of what would happen, supported by evidence that was clear indicating hate speech, racism, and obscene abuses, and demanded that CAF play the match behind closed doors while providing protection for the Al-Hilal mission, which was rejected by CAF.”
And he pointed out that: “Because what happened went beyond the Crescent entity to Sudan, the great people, we in the Board of Directors of Al-Hilal Club will spare no effort and will spare no effort to restore the consideration of Al-Hilal and Sudan in an unambiguous manner.”
He added, “We appeal and hope that the Sudanese state, civil society organizations and parties will follow suit, condemning the racism to which the Sudanese people were subjected, represented by the Al-Hilal team and its fans, and demanding that they be rehabilitated.”
And he continued: “We would like to point out in this regard that since the first Saturday of April, which is the saddest day in the history of football at all, we have begun to restore the credibility of Al-Hilal and Sudan, and we have opened channels of communication with the Confederation of African Football, and we will submit to it the complaint that an expert is drafting. A well versed legal expert and one of the world’s leading sports law experts, in addition to Al Hilal Lawyers in Lausanne.
And he stressed that: “All these profanities and fallen chants have been translated and documented in all languages, and they will be on the table of the Confederation of African Football and the International Federation (FIFA) in the next few hours.”
He said: “Because the issue of lending a person with his color or his features and describing him as slavery does not stop at the border of Sudan and includes the entire African continent without exception. We are in contact with the respected African clubs that participate in the Champions and Confederation Clubs Championships, and we will inform them in writing and through shuttle visits and their various languages in the opinion of Al-Ahly’s racist fans in Africa, its people and its clubs.
He pointed out: “FIFA’s racism is a crime that deserves harsh penalties, and there is no tolerance for it or coexistence because it destroys the solid foundation of football, which was created to unite, not divide. FIFA did not and will not hesitate to impose the harshest and maximum penalties on the perpetrators of this heinous and heinous crime. It will receive a complaint supported by videos and evidence.” and conclusive evidence.
He explained: “It is unfortunate that Al-Ahly fans repeat the ugliness of the racist atrocities committed in 2018 in front of the Guinean Liberty team, which led to the imposition of a financial penalty on Al-Ahly Club, with the penalty of playing without an audience for two matches suspended. The most important thing that was mentioned in that punishment is the club’s urging Al-Ahly to raise the awareness of its fans regarding the implications of racist discourse and uphold the values of hatred.
He concluded: “We reassure the fans of Al-Hilal and the fans of the Sudanese people in general that our relationship with the Egyptian Al-Ahly club is no longer what it was, and we will not close an eyelid until we recover the right of Al-Hilal and the entire Sudanese people, undiminished, by seeking to impose harsh penalties on Al-Ahly and its fans, and the football match has ended, but obscenity, abuse and insolence It will not end unless the rights are fully restored. We are pure slavery to God, Lord of the Worlds, and we are the most generous as long as the most honorable to God is the most pious. Peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings of God Almighty.”
