Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has criticized the New Zealand team coming to Pakistan for the Twenty20 series as not balanced. A few players from the Kiwis team are in India for the IPL. Also, few injured players are yet to regain their fitness.
Razaq responded that the first consideration of cricketers should be the national team and wondered how they got the No-Objection Certificate (NOC). ‘New Zealand should have sent a full team. Some players went on to play in the IPL and others got injured. Not much interest in the series. In the Test series, they had a full team, so the matches were also exciting. It seems that they sent a team according to the situation. I don’t know how players get NOC when it comes to national team. What is the criteria for NOCs, the first priority should be the national team’ – Razaq said.
There are five matches in the Twenty20 series. Pakistan will field the best team including pacer Shaheen Afridi for the series. Shaheen Afridi will return to the Pakistan team for the first time since the Twenty20 World Cup once morest England in November 2022. Shaheen led Lahore Qalandar to the title in the Pakistan Super League.
