During the presentation of the HomePod 2 this week, Apple reminded everyone that the HomePod mini incorporated a temperature sensor and humidity! This component had been spotted a few months following the launch of the small connected speaker, but Apple never having activated it, almost everyone forgot.
Version 16.3 of the HomePod software, which will be released next week, actually activates this sensor which allows you to know the temperature and humidity level of the place where the speaker is placed. Information that appears in the Home app, and which can also be integrated into automations.
