Years ago, the never-released Warcraft adventure, created in the late 90s, was leaked to the network. Although it was already fully playable back then, the resolution was low, cutscenes were clipped, audio sync issues, and missing pieces. Now, following years of development, one fan has released a remaster of this game, in modern quality and with bug fixes.
Recently Modder DerSilver83 released final version 1.0 WACRP (Warcraft Adventures Cutscenes Remastered Project). The modification includes 20 improved cutscenes, including two that were discovered following the original leak.
Here’s a comparison between the original and the remaster:
The work turned out to be difficult. DerSilver83 manually removed artifacts and also used Photoshop to redraw entire frames and assets frame by frame. With this, the audio is now synchronized and running at the correct 12 frames per second.
According to the modder, it took him regarding six years to work, although the remaster might have spent even more effort, further improvement would have taken an unreasonable amount of time.
But if you want to play the remaster, then first download original files games, since the mod only includes cutscenes.
